Generation 1, Chapter 21

 

After Vallari stated her price to Peter, she saw no reason not to accept dates from anyone and everyone who called. She had no time to waste if she was going to find someone else before she became an elder. Although some dates were more successful than others. Like the date with Benjamin Schmidt who called to meet her at this place and he never showed up. Vallari was less than impressed, seeing that all she got was wet.

Next she was invited to a party at Shawnee Fox's place. She found out that Shawnee was a great kisser. 

Neither one was concerned about Shawnee's wife finding out or any of the other party guests seeing them and telling Peter. They were completely wrapped up in their own little world.

Next she went on a date with Scotty Flood. He wasn't as good a kisser as Shawnee but beggars can't be choosers. She did wonder why the weather was always inclement when she went on dates. Twice it rained and once it snowed. Maybe mother nature was trying to tell her something but she just wasn't listening.

She thought Scotty was something special since he had a paparazzi lurking nearby. But when the paparazzi came to ask Scotty to move his car, so that he could go and stalk some celebrity, Vallari became unreasonably upset.

She started yelling at poor Scotty and he began to have serious doubts about her intelligence or maybe that should be her sanity. So that date ended in fireworks and Scotty doubts he will ask for another.

Unknown to Vallari, that annoying paparazzi was actually a private investigator. Hired by Peter to follow Vallari to document evidence of infidelity that he could use against her when they went to court.

Vallari was getting more daring in her exploits when she invited Shawnee over to the house when everyone was gone. Crash and Optimus Even were not happy seeing Vallari betraying Peter. This was the first time Crash saw Vallari for what she was and their relationship went from best friends to enemies. Optimus Even never liked her to begin with and has declared Vallari his nemesis.

Maybe Shawnee picked up on the negative vibes from the plum bots or he was having second thoughts about betraying his wife. But for whatever reason he ended the date early saying "that he was generally a nice guy and she had issues so he was leaving before he did something he would regret".

Next she went out with Alonzo Mueller, a co-worker of Peters. He has been invited to every birthday party that Peter ever threw for the kids. However every time he attended he always tried to flirt with Vallari. So he was excited that she finally said yes. They spent there time talking about sports until Vallari got bored and went home.

Then she went out with Galen Redmond and yes it was raining again. He was also another party guest. So either she's been hitting up Peter's co-workers or his friends but at any rate none of them seem to have come back for seconds.

But one thing is sure, she has provided Peter with enough evidence that she is not a faithful wife and she is not home taking care of the kids either. Vallari may have underestimated Peter as she definitely thought she had the upper hand.

Vallari did try to smooth things over with Optimus Even. Stating that she felt so sorry for poor, deluded Peter. That once the divorce went through and he had nothing left, no money, no house and no kids, he was going to need Optimus Even to pick up the pieces. She truly was sorry for being the source of so much unhappiness already, why should Optimus compound the issue by telling him about Shawnee's visit. She said the same thing to Crash too.

She felt pretty confident that neither one would tell Peter what she's been up to. She imagined herself as the greatest manipulator of all time and everyone around her were her puppets, just waiting for her to tell them what to do and when to do it. She was feeling pretty happy with herself. She was sure that she would have another fish on the line by the time Peter paid her price. Although she figures she will sue for custody of all the kids as that would hurt Peter the most. Then all would be right in her world.
