Generation 1, Chapter 4

Peter took the advice of his co-workers and threw himself a Bachelor party at the beach. He invited all his co-workers. It was a lot of fun, they swam in the ocean and danced all night.

His co-workers even surprised him with a party dancer. She stayed to the end of the party. Afterwards Peter donated the party items to the beach, so that others could use them for any future parties that might be held there.

Peter had always imagined getting married in a garden, under an arch. Their wedding day finally dawned and they kept it small and informal. Peter and Vallari said their vows during a private ceremony.

Unfortunately that was also the day Peter started to realize that Vallari wasn't all she led him to believe. He found out that she had lied about her age and that she was a lot older than him. He needed some time alone, so he did what he always did when something was bothering him. He turned to science and mixed potions until he calmed down. Meanwhile Vallari spent her time reading, wondering what the big deal was. So what she lied about her age, it's not like she looked bad or anything.

Peter's mind was so distracted he mixed some chemicals together that caused an explosion. So he decided that it was time to quit and eat some dinner. He considered his options and decided that although Vallari lied about her age really didn't change his feelings for her. But he wondered what else she may have lied about. So he advanced his plans and decided they would start their family now instead of waiting until they were better off financially. He presented his plan to Vallari, which included her getting a job and helping with the bills.

Although this wasn't what Vallari had wanted to do, she could see this wasn't the time to inform Peter that she had no desire to work at all. Since Vallari had a degree in Physical Education she applied for a job as a Toddler Coach.

In the days following, Peter was making progress at the science lab and even made a monumental discovery that created a huge buzz in the science community. Peter hoped with all the publicity he was getting that his family and especially his Father, would hear about it. Peter hoped his Father would call but so far all he's heard is silence. The only bright spot was that Vallari announced she was pregnant and that helped keep Peter from falling into a deep depression over the silence from his family.

Peter was getting excited for this first born to arrive. He hoped it would be boy and that he would become a scientist and carry on the family tradition.

They went to the hospital when Vallari went into labor; although Peter had tried to convince to have a home birth. Vallari wouldn't dream of it, it was bad enough to be pregnant and dealing with the weight gain. They had a baby boy they named Adam. They used the money Peter earned from his discovery to build a nursery for Adam.

Peter enjoyed having a son and had many dreams of what the future would hold. While he was holding his infant son, he realized that he could go into the future and see for himself.

  1. *gasp* Another trip into the future! Cool. I wonder what Peter will find. Haha, oh Vallari, I'm surprised she was okay with the kid thing, she didn't seem like she would like responsibility too much. :)

    1. Oh Vallari doesn't like kids at all but she wants Peter's inheritance. She's willing to have kids if it means keeping Peter happy and in the dark of her true motives.

    1. Peter is starting to wonder if it was a mistake but it's a little late now. The trip to the future is more of an escape for Peter. Adam is the one good thing that has come about.
      Thank you for reading!

  3. LOL I laughed when Peter caused an explosion, I knew that would happen! Poor Peter. The baby is cute, but Vallaria doesn't really seem so much like the motherly type..

    1. Peter is always exploding things and it doesn't help when his mind is distracted by other things. Vallari is the furthest thing from a mother you can get, which you'll see as the story progresses. Adam is adorable!

  4. Poor Peter. All he wants is his family to be proud of him and to have a loving family of his own. I hope he gets that some day.

I wonder what he's going to see when he goes into the future. I hope he's not disappointed. . .

    1. Peter is lonely and misses his family. Unfortunately Peter may have chose the wrong person to start that happy family with. Vallari isn't interested in anything other than the money she thinks Peter will inherit someday and she's willing to do whatever to obtain it.

Peter uses going to the future as a way to cope with the stress in his life and to get away from his wife. It may be a while before he get his happy ever after.

    1. Vallari is a lot older than Peter. Peter is like eighteen/nineteen and she's in her early/mid thirties. I hate that outfit but she loves it.
