Generation 1, Chapter 2

On one of those monotonous days, Peter saw a bright flash of light and a man appeared in his front yard. Peter went out to investigate and the man asked for his help in retrieving some power cells that had flown loose from his device. So Peter obligingly helped this mysterious visitor find all the power cells. Upon finding the last one, Peter learned that the mysterious visitor was called Emit Revelart.

Emit explained that he was from the future. Intrigued and curious about the marvels he would find, Peter followed Emit into the future.

Upon his arrival Peter was given a jet pack to use to travel to whatever destination he chose to go. But first he decided to just fly around to see if he could control it. Once he felt confident he knew what he was doing, he went on longer flights.

On one of his travels Peter went to the barren wasteland. It was a lonely place, full of mysterious plants. Peter spent several hours picking crystal plants and talking to them. He learned that the crystal flowers would change colors according to the emotions he expressed to them while talking to them.

Peter also found junk piles that he excavated and found fragments that seemed to form a key when he put them together. He wondered what the key was for and what he would find if he found the door.

That night after he returned from the barren wastelands he asked Emit about the key. Emit told him about a legend of a crashed alien spaceship that was supposed to be in the wastelands and that they hid the key in small fragments throughout the wasteland so that no would be able to get inside. Now Peter was convinced he had to find that alien ship and see what was in it.

Peter fervently hoped to find an actual alien, frozen in time. But all he found was some amazing holographic pictures and some internet downloads from the 21st century. Peter took those with him thinking it'd make for interesting reading and be a useful tool in his research. Somewhat disappointed in his discoveries, Peter decided to go home, not sure if he would ever come to the future again.

    1. The crystal plants were kind of different, being able to talk back. LOL The key, once Peter found it was anticlimactic, it opened an crashed alien ship but there wasn't much inside.
      Thanks for reading!

  2. Aww - annoying that there wasnt anything interesting in the alien ship, maybe the information will help Peter discover something great though. Interesting to see the future, I dont have that EP- the plants seem cool!

    1. The alien ship is the most disappointing thing about the Future EP; although I have yet to try everything out that it has to offer. I hope to discover a little more each generation as I hope to achieve one legacy statue per generation. I think there are six statues, so hopefully this legacy will go for at least six generations.

  3. Oooh I love that you are using the new expansion into the future. Thats the only expansion that I don't have, so its always fun to see what fun things I'm missing out on! The flying with the jet pack looked sweet!

    1. I had just gotten the into the future EP when I started the legacy so I was excited to try it out. They will be going back to the future through out the generation so you'll get a chance to see other things. I liked the whole idea of the jet pack, kind of reminded me of the old cartoon about the Jetsons. LOL
Thank you for reading and commenting!

  4. Are those plants in the Into the Future expansion? I have it but haven't utilized it since it would be weird for my legacy. They look so fun though! Plants you can talk to!

It's a shame that there wasn't much on the alien ship. Maybe he'll find something more interesting if he goes back to the future. lol couldn't help the movie reference. sorry. :D

    1. When I started this story I had just gotten the Into the Future expansion so I couldn't wait to use it. The crystal plants are fun and depending upon you talk to them determines their color. The alien ship did not improve on later visits, not only do you have to waste time finding the key fragments each time you want to go in, theirs nothing in there to find, well at least nothing worth wasting all that time.

You're right going into the future would be a little weird in your legacy.
